SSIC Jan.5th-8th, Report

3 of us up to SSIC from Jan.5th-8th, fishing was slow all week but still had a great time on the ice ! 20 eyes, 1 perch, 1 ling and a puppy.......all eyes we're in the 12-16" range, mid afternoon seemed to be the best for us, morning bite was slow, not one hit after dark ! Roughly 30' of water under us, fished outside in 18'-25' with same results, live minnow seemed to be best but jigs did work as well, hard to tell with such a slow bite. Ice was 16"-20" thick with the snow adding up each day on the ice, trucks all over the ice with no issues, drifts and snow depth could soon be an issue for trucks ?


A big thanks to Garnet and his crew, great bunch of guys and top notch outfitter ! Would recommend SSIC to anyone ! Heading back up mid Feb with the wife and 3 kids for another ice adventure ! Looking forward to it !!! Good luck everyone !
