Some good fishing on Sunday

The ice was soo clear you could see the bottom in 20 ft of water through the ice.

There were lots of people out.

Fishing was pretty solid 8 for 10 fish. Biggest was this one at 14 lb. Lost one that looked bigger right at the hole.

We found good ice everywhere, but be careful.

The winds actually helped. It is so damn cold the water still froze with the winds and the winds blew all the snow off the ice and allowed really good ice to form. Never seen Simcoe ice so clear. Was awesome to see the fish through the ice. I could see my lure as deep as 60 ft.

That's a beauty!

Is it common for these good days this early in the season?

They look like naturals, were there any fins clipped?

Nice fish. I love being able to watch the fight through the ice like that, you don't get that chance very often.

Yes, this tank was clipped and a smaller one 6 lbs or so was clipped also. 6 other ones were natural.
