Was out on Monday in. Bay... Ice is getting better, 4 to 6 inches. The slush is starting to freeze. Going out tomorrow again to a more open area further North on the lake. I will update tomorrow.

Sorry DB but I have been busy dealing with snow on the roof and getting the new Blueberry 2.0 ready ...I hope to get down to the Windermere Wharf either later today or tomorrow morning to test the ice ...I'll post my results on my return.
We have had some real cold nights here this week and no more snow since Monday so hopefully its thickened up.

On the fence about heading up this week or next, this weeks cold temps have had to do some good, hoping for some good reports! If I end up there I'll be sure to report in as well.

Checked out further north on Rosseau at a more open part, and the ice is no good. Couldn't even get off of shore, and the snow was discoloured about 200 meters out. The ice in the bays is getting better, almost a solid foot now, but more open water is still very thin from what I could see.

Probed ice approx. 12' from shoreline. Snow cover 2-3" thick. No slush or water. Now frozen. Drilled auger test hole. Blue/white ice 5-6" thick. White snow has grey, wavy, snake patterns visible approx. 150m-300m from shoreline.
