Hey, looking for an easy way to light my hut? I was thinking a swag lamp kit from canadian tire with LED bulb and run the power cord to my inverter then deep cycle battery? Any other ideas out there? Thanks for assistance.

I didn't have hydro at my cottage last summer and I bought some LED patio umbrella lights at the local dollar store. They have a ring of LED's and come with a built in hook for hanging. They are powered by 4 AAA batteries. Lasted us most of the summer weekends and still going, bright enough to play cards at the kitchen table. Light was mounted almost 7' high. They cost around $4.00 They look like the picture below

Well if you have a battery in your hut why not just install a rv 12 volt single fixture ...Canadian Tire has them for around 10.00...hook it up and Bob's your uncle... no inverter needed....using your inverter would use all if not more of the power you would be saving using the led .....better yet you could get a led bulb for the rv fixture from a Rv dealer.
I just installed a single in the new hut and it puts out plenty of light for the 8x8x7h area of the hut.

Just a thought, Suds
I'm thinking that this is best suggestion yet. I'm always with the CT marine battery. Too easy to plug something in to the DC car slot.
Currently charging phone with it. Earlier today used it to fill the air in soft Argo tires. Certainly worth having around!!!
