I'm heading up to Minden in January. Going to fish Twelve Mile Lake and likely check out one or two surrounding lakes. Can anyone message me on lakes to try, I was thinking Kabakwa Lake, Maple Lake, Black Lake, Barnum Lake.

Twelve mile is good for Lakers but check the regs i think there's a slot size, apparently mountain lake just south of there has been stocked with rainbows. All I've ever caught in maple is Muskie and bass but you could try it for eyes , make sure you're careful out there a lot of those lakes have currents and thin spots
good luck!!

Up visiting family and as promised here are some
Pics of the lacklustre ice conditions... Be careful out there..... Ice is sketchy at best and non existent!
Just a quick note pics are taken from the west shore of little bosh.

Thanks for the update. Weather conditions appear to be getting colder over the next few weeks, hopefully things harden up for the January 10th weekend!

hey guys I have a cotty on mountain lake just south of 12 mile, my lake has bass (smallies mostly but some largies) lake trout, mooneye, perch, rock bass, blue gill, and as of 4 years ago tiger muskies and walleye. the walleye fishing is poor on the best days but I have dragged a few in, the biggrst being about 4 lbs. we used to have whites, and ling but have not caught either in about 12 years so, im so sure anymore. cheers

What are mooneye?

Drove by both lakes today. Didn't see much happening on the ice. Lots of water on the surface.

When drove by Miners Bay it looked miserable - all the huts closely packed and water over the surface.
