Fished Notty on Sat morn. What a beautifull day.Warm weather cold clear water ,what more could you ask for???? Maybee a few steelhead that would have been nice.3 times to Notty this year and 3 strikeouts. Did have one hit but i was sleeping i think just stared in awww that float went down lol.Never had this bad of luck on the Notty getting very frustrated. An older gentlemen there told me not to give up . He said it has been a terrible year. He got 2 on monday and 2 on wednesday but hadnt had a hit since. He is retired and fishes everyday. Im not sure what i am going to do????????

Terrible... I know the Notty has frustrated me on more than one occasion. If you can, try fishing on a weekday.. On the weekends the steelhead spook quickly with all the commotion.. Do you have time off on weekdays?
Don't feel bad, I skunked Sat as well, there were fish around but too too many lines in the hotspot.. Great day to be outdoors.

I understand, I find it difficult to take a day off during the week as well.. There should still be a few nice Saturdays before ice sets in. I'll let you know if/when I plan to hit the Notty.

Hey Steelhunter If we get the rain they are forecasting, a lot of water will probably make the Notty near to unfishable. On the other hand, water down the Beaver and Big Head will probably make for some good fishing from the shore and piers in those areas. I haven't fished up there this year and I don't know how the fishing has been. A good flush of water down the river can really stir up the fish hanging close to shore. Could be worth a try. SDC

Don't know what to say there is alot of fish in there.
Some say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. LOL
I'd offer to take you out, but I think its getting a bit late some years the river is mostly frozen by this time. Maybe if mother nature is extra nice this december.
