Thought I would just toss this up for everyone and congrats to all that got out and had varying degrees of success this winter

I was not abel to add much information on many topics since I just did not make it out there .. 7 trips planned and every one of them had to be cancelled due to various family members coming down with a variety of severe health issues, myself included for the past 3 weeks from a cat bite on my hand which got severely infected and is just now improving

so I lived through all of your posts and I really thank you all for that

I really missed not getting out, but it is what it is...........Next Year

Well Shank you will be back on the water sooner than later. Maybe some spring perch fishing, glad you are on the mend. No more fighting with the cat sir.

Sorry to hear that. I thought maybe you found a hotspot on Simcoe and wanted to keep it quiet )
For what it's worth, it was a tough season with tough walking conditions and also Taj was not operating this year either. So maybe that was an early sign of things to come. Hope he is running next year and you will be getting out next ice.

I also never made it out on the lake. First miss in 40 years. Bad chest infection & a pinched nerve in my neck kept me on shore. Lots of whities next year I hope. Cheers

Here's to hoping the soft water and next year's hard water bring better luck.

Myself i had a great season this winter at our place on Nip - well other than writing off my sled - but it's all good as ordered the replacement and it is nicer.

Hey Werner,

So sorry to hear about the health issues with you and family.

I only got out twice this winter. Took out the newbies again, although we didnt catch much, they had lots of fun...

Couldnt get out much due to family stuff as well, but that's how life goes..

Same as you, enjoyed reading about the adventures of others and the pics..

Take care and get better and hoping you have a great softwater season.
Cheers buddy..

I hear you. In the last 25 years, this is the only year I got out one day. Looking forward to getting back out on the boat.

I also didn’t get out this year but to be honest didn’t miss it that much. Still getting over falling though the ice the previous year. See you soon Werner well get plenty of fish this spring. Be ready

Glad to hear you're on the mend Shank! Hopefully your family members are as well.

I too only made it out a couple times due to work and limited time. I have to say, winter sure is long and boring when you can't fish! LOL

I got out this past weekend (my third trip of the season) - lots of ice (but deteriorating fast).

Hopefully you'll be on the soft water sooner than later!
Cheers!

Didn't get out this year either. Had an ankle injury (still have it) that kept me from walking out. And with so much snow I didn't want to take a chance with the ATV either. I am however ready for the boat season :-)
