Hummingbird 45 Flasher

Could anyone or everyone out there give me their opinion as to whether or not this would be a worthwhile purchase ? I've never used either a flasher or a camera under the ice and would like to hear from you hard water guys or girls about this item. Thanks for your input in advance ... Smokiesboy

Great flasher! i have no issues with it. Great with deep water and shallow. If you are getting it for a good deal I say go for it. If not... I say look for ones that has both flasher and finder. I have not gotten a chance to try one of those units... But I am curious.

I think the 45 doesnt have a case, i have the 55, came with a case. I think the 55 is only $100 more, i love it, great entertainment, make ice fishing more exciting, and puts you on more fish!

Yes.. I also have the 55 and it comes with the case, couple extra colours and a bit more powerful. Really not much of a difference on how it will work for you on the ice.

Thanks to all for the replies, I will go with the 55 and let you know the outcome. Going to fish CB on Sunday and the excitement is building , usually fish out of Beaverton or Pefferlaw ... John Best or Casey's. Tight lines to all ...

i bought one a few weeks ago and it is great. If you are not currently using any system right now, well its a game changer.

Worked great today with my bait over 100 ft of water, and marked about 5 fish come up off the bottom and chase my bait.

The 45 does not come with a case, but i bought one with it. If you can afford the 55, go for it. it has a few more options with the colour palette, and target button, and comes with a case. The 45 suits my needs fine, and i have a case with it and definitely recommend Humminbird.
