Anyone going to the sportsmen show this weekend? And does anyone have any recommendations for any bass lures. I cant wait for soft water season.

Cheers

I hope to convince my Wife to go this weekend. Bass love 6" green rubber worms. That and shad raps in blue/silver.

Never miss it! Can walk there now that it's back at DEC. Can't help ya with Bass tackle but I picked up the freedom jigs there last year and have been loving them.

I love using top water frogs...... Gently skim it over the top of lily pads and each time you have the frog touch water, pause momentarily and continue dragging that frog.... Continuous movement will make it appear to be a real frog.

When that bass breaks water and lunges for your frog, pause for 2-3 seconds before setting the hook!
Once you set the hook, keep the rod tip up and the tension on......
You'll land those largemouth bass without any problem.

You won't be successful each time but when that bass break water, the rush is exhilarating and the adrenaline flows through your blood!

Make sure you have heavier test line or you'll just snap your line and loose that frog.

Good call, black seems to work really good for me, especially in the shallows on Scugog.
