Belwood today

While made it out today around the dam. moved about 4-5 times trying to locate 20ft. Found 19.5ft. and did not move again. I went 3/7 in that spot. I believe they were all pike. All were caught on minnows. One of the hits almost took my rod right in and that fish was cruising. Was fighting it and on the way up it snapped me off. Oh well. The three pike that I did land were all under 2 pounds.
It was still a good day to get out there. Maybe heading back tomorrow before the cold weather sets in.

Hey bassnbows do you. Know if they have minnows left i would hate to come up there and they have none.....great job on the fishing

Nice report ,sounds like you had a great day fishing .The weather was perfect for fishing out side or in a portable .To bad some of the other members couldn't make it out today .I think i'm going to head out to bell wood tomorrow morning looks like it's going to be another nice day. How was the walk out ?

Thanks guys. They have plenty of minnows there fishmagnet, no problem there. The walk wasn't too bad really. A few snowmobile tracks about, I just followed them out. I didn't even put the hut up today. Was just too nice out there.

Might be a little chilly for me tomorrow as i don't have a hut right now but maybe and thanks for the update basnbows.....

I was actually sitting on my skidoo with my coat off, mitts off….was a great day to be out there. Its so nice without the cumbersome clothing etc….

And yes, lots of Minnows……talk with the CO's….they are such a great bunch of guys. Maybe they can offer some advice?

Its a cool lake, but a real tough one to fish!!

i got 3 small pics in deep water in front of damn. missed 2 pike one was a hog got to see it briefly . broke me off. headed up to pushlinch today got 2 more pics and 8 crappie post pics when they come in. I've bin finding eye in front of damn but had to move a few times. beats the long walk up the lake.

I was out at the dam also and only landed 2 small pike.
It was a lot slower then yesterday and now the cold weather
will be here for the next week or slow. That will deffinetly slow
the fishing for a bit.

Hit the lake today for a few hours,set up around the point off the far side of parking area.Ended up catching 4 pike biggest 32". Not a bad day at all.Except for the walk back up that hill ,not fun I got to lighten up my gear when going there.

Sitting at home thinking about going fishing to Belwood for the first time this year, it's looking beautiful outside so I check the weather in fergus...wow...-16, feels like -27, wind 30-35km/h, gusts over 50km/h. I think I'm gonna do some fishing for new fishing videos on YouTube today. Tommorow might be the day to scratch my itch, wind supposed to die down over night.

Yes I do have a hut, just picked one up, also got a heater so I can't wait to try it out.

Ya I got to get me a another hut makes the world of difference out there ....
