Work got cancelled due to cold so me and a friend headed up to joe. We had to leave by 1230 so was going to be a quick fish. Got out and line in the water at 930. Before he even has his hole drilled I'm fighting one. Lost him half way up. Check the minnows, send it back down. Start drilling a hole for the finder, spring bobber going crazy. Set the hook, land a nice 2.5 lb trout. Back down she goes. Drill the other hole, drop a line. Wham! Another one on. Land a nice 3lb. Send it back. Good action all morning.we both had an epic fight with a large one but mine spit the hook and his broke the line. I got 7 he got 6. Here's a pic of my 2 I kept and a release pic for the guy who commented we never release fish. Not many pics today. These iPhone 5 suck in winter. Great morning though.

Regards, ff.

Access at footes bay and a short walk north. Man it must have been slushy Sunday. Glad we didn't go til today. Now the paths are blazed and slush frozen. ! Lots of snow to get to our spot though. Snowshoes were a must and light gear.

Yes Dale, you should spring for some baileys! Got out again today. Even better day out there. My friend even got a nice 7lb thru the hole. They all went back to swim another day but 2 that were bleeding. Met some very considerate people, who even though there was a whole lake to the 5 of us just had to set up 100 ft away in 100 ft of water. Awesome! Oh well we did better when we moved later in the day. Must have been their waypoint, not mine lol.

Regards, ff.
