I've had a very slow season, at best, for lakers and whities this year.
I'm curious what people think?
Half the battle is finding fish but when you do and haven't got a taker, do you move until you find active fish or do you stay and wait for fish to turn on.
I think most would say never move if you find fish but that's just me.

I've sometimes wondered the same thing. I don't know for sure but my hunch is that if the fish are not aggressively biting in one location, they'll likely not be much different elsewhere. I would be more likely to stay in an area where I'm marking fish and change up my presentation.

I'm not sure what the answer to that is. There could have been someone fishing that spot before you and caught and released those fish or just stung em with a hook making the fish become hook shy. Barometric pressure, availability of easy prey, tunnel vision, angle of the dangle it's hard to say whats going on down there some days.

If inactive I usually stay short time. Try other holes nearby. Come back later.

It depends on whether you know the contours and depths. I was out today and I set up in 84 feet marked a bunch then it died down. i picked up and moved to shallower water 72 feet and marked moved again - 64 feet and nothing. got fed up with waiting for something so I went back deeper to 94 feet and marked a bunch right away and missed a laker by inches! it bit the end of my lure...need that stinger!
