Awsome thanks a bunch, I will hopefully be there for a day of it with a few buddies! Can you offer any tips on what the salmon like down there? Or would it be like the rest of the Huron shoreline?

flyfisher08 Yes,it is basically like the rest of the Huron Shoreline.I like to fish out of the Ausable River Mouth(Port Franks),as one of my starting points. Here, the warmer water is coming from the Ausable River.Fish in the 25 to 40 feet of water.Use downriggers at 20 feet, dipsy divers also work.Bombers and small AC Shiner lures are good, which resemble the Baitfish,(Alewifes, minnows). Tight Lines & Good Luck!

It is a great derby to fish, because when the lake is rough the st.Clair river will be calm and vice versa. So no matter what you can always get out.
