myself and 2 other friends have Polaris atv,s 2010 all three bikes will not start on the lake in cold weather the only way to start them is to pull out the relays and replace them this is ridiculous .It happened twice today!and has been a problem every year since the bikes were purchased. Polaris says they have had no complaints ,i cant believe we are the only ones if anyone else has this problem let me know

Of course Polaris won't admit to that, but it's a common failure. Something funky about the relays that don't like the cold. Warm them up, plug them back in and then they might work. We had 4/5 Polaris ATVs not wanting to start at a Haliburton ATV ride in January. Had no problem with the Yamaha or Kawa. Friends don't let friends buy Polaris.

my son and I both have Polaris 550 EFI sportsman ATV's 2011 and every weekend when we are out fishing both of them have problems starting at least once or twice every day, this has been since day one when we bought the bikes brand new. Same thing we pull out the relays and then push them back in and BINGO as if by magic they start, at first we were warming the relays up because we thought it was because the relays were cold but now we just simply pull them out and push them straight back in and the bike fires up. we have experienced a few different symptoms sometimes the bike will crank over and wont fire and then other times the computer screen goes all funny and the bike wont even crank over but pulling the relays out seems to fix the problems. for those of you that don't know the relays are located under the front rack you just pull the cover box off and they are inside the box. Polaris says that they never heard of such a problem so I thought that it was just my bad luck to buy 2 brand new bikes and these 2 bikes are the only 2 Polaris bikes in the western hemisphere that have this problem I WILL NEVER BUY POLARIS AGAIN

I had a sportsman 500 for about a year and it was the biggest piece of sh*t I've ever been on, it left me stranded it the middle of the lake twice. Sold it and bought a yamaha grizzly

Dear Polaris,
We have a couple of your...... We are having issues with starting...... We are part of the LSO group where over 7000 members discuss the outdoors, equipment, ATV's.................................
I am concerned that I am getting a run around for a product that I considered to be first class and now numerous other sportsmen are opening up to having similar failures with your units. ........and we all are getting the same responses from Polaris. "there are no problems."
