As consumers we all have basic expectations especially if stranded on a giant Popsicle with a child or two with you and the Polaris won't start. No one around to help, kids crying, night fall, sub zero temps..............

Toronto Daily Star,
Man on Lake Simcoe............................when his Polaris ATV failed to start.......... sub zero temps................................ will be held at St. Stanislaus ................
This is an arena where I really............ We trust what we buy and have basic expectations of safety from that maker and when their staff, THEIR staff blows you off............... Again, I would never write to any local dealership.

This should be posted on every hunting ,fishing ,trail riding message board etc. until someone at polaris admits there is a problem.
But i guess with globle warming they wont have to worry about it 20 years until then dont buy a polaris !! unless you are going to to store it from Nov to April

2013 Polaris sportman 850... Same problem here. I fixed the issue by leaving it at home! Not even joking! I hated the unsettle feeling I get when I turn the key and it cranks but won't Fire up. Also there was times that it won't even turn over. Had to cut 2 fishing trips short due to it. Once I get it fired up I don't chance it and drive right back in.... Also that I prayed to God if it starts I'll go home.
But I find it okay when it is just minus single digits. It's the double digits days that I have the issues with.

Ya know why people buy them, they only consider the up front $$$ and not the reliability when they're out the door.
This is the principle reason people end up buying sh!t products. If they'd consider the additional 1 or 2 grand as insurance of reliability and good resale, they'd just go out and get a honda or yammi to start with. We've all done it at some point though. Never again for me!

My advice sell on kijiji and get a kawi,Honda,or yamaha. I've had problems in the cold and on the ice before. Usually the elec start, but pull start works every time 1st or second pull and I have a 1990 yamaha. Other than that consider taking it back where you got it and demand they do something. Show them these posts, just my thoughts good luck!

really? I went to many places and most 800+ cc bikes were cheaper with other brands. I took the Polaris cause it was more $. I didn't do my research right but there was another purpose other than ice fishing. Cause if it was solely for ice fishing I would of bought an Argo for what I paid.
