Weird FFs, Lowrance

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 5030 Member No.: 877 Joined: November 06, 2011	I have a Lowrance Mark 5X Pro and my friend " Four post Allan" has a 4X HDI. We were both fishing Lake Joe about 2 weeks ago in 100 ft or so of water. For a while I could clearly see my lure or sinker near the bottom then, for no particular reason, the sinker disappeared. Later on it reappeared but would again disappear. Allan had a similar experience although we don't know if it happened to both FFs simultaneously. I had mine set at fairly high sensitivity (around 70-80) just at the point where I would pick up clutter/static. I had surface clarity and noise rejection set to off. Ping speed was set to fastest. I tried both 83 and 200 Hz with similar results. Has anybody experienced similar results? Possible explanation?
