Are lake trout the biggest fish in simcoe or are there bigger fish than that just out of curiosity

Yes, probably Lakers, although you will find people who believe there still might be a Sturgeon or two down there.

There might be 30~40 pd pike in Simcoe.

Musky can get larger than the lakers, i would think pike also have the possibility to have larger specimans in the lake. neither species can compare numbers wise to lakers though.

It's been 30 plus years since I've seen one myself..but who knows,could still be one in the swim..

Oh ya still some big carp for sure..remember that big die off 6-7 years ago..they were floating up buy the thousands..I've never weighed a carp,but these things were big

I had a carp swim up under my hut a few weeks ago and just lay there for well over an hour.Had to be easy 30 pounds.

The Simcoe Slider, a beast of epic proportions, bringing nightmares of the Loch Ness monster to mind. So terrible to behold, and the one reason whales no longer grace Simcoe with their presence. It could also explain a lot of bad days on the ice. The Slider just ate everything in sight. At least that's what I tell everyone when I get skunked. It is thought to haunt picnickers as the most common sightings are following a beach BBQ Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.

ive caught a 40lb carp,but im sure,and i mean sure there are 40+ pound lakers and 50+ lb musky....sure of it
