Planning on taking the kids to pinehurst lake in Cambridge if any one has some tips to help my boys catch some bluegills or something that would be cool. Not sure where to start either with location.

Light line, max 4lb test, very sensitive rod, ( if u dont have one, hot glue stick a spring from a pen to rod tip and make an eye) very small jig ( no larger than a piece of barley) and a lively maggot or two on the hook, bare steelhead hook #16 with maggot an shot will suffice, gills can be tricky

small jigs, pinhead minnows, gulp maggots, fish shore lines far side from beach. also right side of lake. far side best bet for blue gills lots in their should do well.
