Well its been a long winter so far and I've only been able to get on the ice at best a half dozen times. Fishing has been good all year as far as I'm concerned with alot more natural whitefish in good sizes I've noticed. Lost alot more than I old like to admit today... but completely operator error. Gotta leave phone in truck next time... (yea right) hope the pics and video turned out. Been awhile since I've posted pics. Blk gold and blk chartreuse did all the damage again today. All fish were less than 40 fow

I have a bunch of those in both the older style (lumpy and ugly) and the newer ones (smoother). I keep winning them at the Turney for Tyler and to be honest... the older ugly ones work better! I think it is because they look more like gobbies. Here is a story about them from Saturday. I went to the Meet and Greet on the north shore on Saturday. Met a guy who was asking about the meegs jigs so I gave him 2, an older one and one of the newer ones. He thanked me and went back into his popup. About a half hour later, there is a big commotion in the hut along with a few bad words. He came out with a funny look on his face. Seems, he was not holding on to his rod and something came along and took the whole rig...rod and all...and when last seen, was heading for Barrie. At least he had a sense of humour about it and it was on the older Meegs, dead sticked. So guys... If you catch a whitie who is dragging a rod and reel and has an older style meegs in his yap.... I know who the rod and reel belongs to!
