I sharpened the cutters on my 8" hand auger this week; packed car last night; got an early start from home; stopped in at True Canadian Outdoors and picked up a Vibrato; arrived at BBP and started walking to my waypoint at 7:45 AM. 1 hour later I get there. Auger is cutting much better than last time I was out but it's still a chore getting through all that ice. My Humminbird decides not read my new Navionics chip and then tells me that I'm in 18' when I know that I'm in 100'; eventually, I get the *#&$ thing to work properly. Don't mark any fish and move to 84 fow; don't mark any fish and move to 72 fow. Start marking some fish and even get 2 or 3 followers but I don't catch anything so I decide to pack up at 2:30 PM; 1 1/2 hours later I get back to my vehicle

I fished off BBP yesterday (Friday), too from 7:00AM to 5:00PM for 10 hours straight. Skunked, too (Again. After my 4 consecutive outings each landing some lakers and whitefish:-)

I guess that's why they call it fishing, and not catching. But your still a winner for getting out there, double true if you take a friend. Some guy smarter than me once said "Some men fish their whole life without realizing, it's not the fish they're after."

With the season close to over I am more determined then ever to get one. Can't wait to get back out Monday and Tuesday. Everytime I'm out that first laker gets closer and closer.
7 am Tuesday mike and we can stay out till we get some even if we got to walk the whole bay

We were out and had the same results. Had a good time with friends
Even Bob did not hook into them? Ohh boy did all the fish die AGAIN?.... Getting stuff ready for tomorrow and one thing I check before I go is this board.... Now I do not feel good about the venture ahead as I did in the past months. Also James secret honey hole not producing as well! Sigh.... Hopefully guys coming in today may shine some positive news on the bite.
