Hey guys,
My buddy and I were thinking of targeting some crappies off the ice next weekend. Our plan was to head up late afternoon and fish into the evening, pack up, and try again early the next morning. We are still contemplating where we should go to target these. After reading some of the posts on the forum, I didn't realize there were crappie in Lake Simcoe. We normally head to Chemong or Rice lake but are thinking of trying something new.
Simcoe so far we've only caught perch/herring at willow beach. We were thinking this time heading out off of Cooks bay perhaps close to Hollands river.
We are going to explore regardless, but if anyone has any words or wisdom or advice for us that would be greatly appreciated.

Can't give you advice on something I am not good at during hard water... I only crappie fish hard water once every year... But I can only confirm above quote... You got it!

We will give it a shot! It's our second season, and we've only stuck to a couple spots we are familiar with, time to explore Will definitely post a report.
