Every fish I pulled up had a shiner already in its mouth. I had luck with silver spoons or anything resembling a shiner. I also lost lots of fish so a short stinger hook would be useful

Yea, we went out in the rain, which after a few hrs the rain turned into snow. Great Afternoon though.. We got 9 fish kept 3 for a small snack. Ice is about 10 inches of black and 6 inches of white. Pretty slushy out there this afternoon. Watch out for the bubblers.
What is a bubbler?
Thanks
A bubbler is what every big lake has in Muskoka.. All these rich cottage owners have systems to push ice away from there boat houses. Opening up an area of open water, this time of the year you have to be careful walking around. Dont go to close and stay safe! Fish ON
