At Windermere there is still a snow cover of about 4-8" on the lake that is soft to almost slushy ...sleds and atvs seem to be getting around fine ....shore ice is good so getting on and off the lake is no problem at all .....where there are bubblers they are starting to eat the ice farther out so give these and any areas with stream intakes to the lake some room.
Took the grandsons out from 7 till 9 last night and caught a ling just over 6lbs... they got a kick out of fishing in the hut after dark and according to them "that ugly fish is huge"..."grandpa that's a monster"...LOL They are 7 and 5 ..together they keep you busy.

Sure is and even the minnows keep them entertained for a short period of time ...one of the boys has been fishing with me since he could crawl and is a real fisherman....his cousin on the other hand couldn't really care if he even went but has only been out a couple of times ....fishing is like pizza you're not sure if you like it till you've had it/done it a couple of times ..lol
