Hey all. Thinking of hitting Fairy Lake this Saturday for an evening of Crappie hunting. Wondering how the ice or more specifically the shore is holding up. Anybody in Acton with knowledge? I'm hoping that it's still good. Any information would be great!

Hey dude, literally just walked off the ice 10 minutes ago, I fished 4 feet all the way to 25 feet and did not manage a single bite. It's a weird fishery for sure, only marked fish in the deep basin not sure if they where crappie or something else. Ice was still good wear spikes if you have them.

Sweet! Thanks dude. I've only ever caught 1 Crappie this season from Fairy, but so far I've managed to find them every time out. Saying that it's a weird fishery is an understatement. Super short bites usually, and the one Crappie that I caught hit so lightly that it didn't even register on my spring bobber. It was just weight on the line when I reeled up my bait. Nice little lake to challenge angling abilities though. Doesn't hurt that it's way closer to me than Simcoe or the Kawarthas...
