Going to Joseph on the weekend wich I've never fished before, just looking for some advice on what depth I should fish for lakers? Any info is appreciated.. Tight lines!

At this time of year they could be at any depth. Best bet is to try to find baitfish. Don't know of many fish that won't be looking for food right now. Find a school of smelt or herring (assuming you have a flasher/finder), and the lakers shouldn't be too far away. Definitely worth looking shallow, just make sure there's deep water nearby. Points, shoals, that type of structure. A depth chart or Navionics/Lakemaster map is the best way to narrow down your search before you even hit the water. Hopefully this helps. Tight lines!

Morning fellas,

I have been successful in 30-45fow catching Lake Trout. You may have to drill more holes then you want to find the fish. Good luck to you all that will be out there this weekend.
