Dunnville dam

How's the fishing been on the dam for walleye ? Planning on heading up Saturday morning

2015 channel cats, am getting ready to head to Dunn ville in a few weeks hope the weather warms up.
Is there still ice.

Is the dam a boat fishery? Or are there shore fishing opportunities too? Never been down that way. Just caught the Catfish fever last year, and Dunville is on my new short list. Just don't want to have to drive 2 hours north of Toronto to get the boat if I don't have to...

Probably going to have lots of company down at Dunnville during the cat season this year. Ontario Out of Doors just came today and there is a story about cat fishing on the Grand.

I beleive walleye are closed till may check the regs guys.

Yes, you can fish from shore and do well enough.

But it's far better from a boat as you have flex factor or relocatting.

Do you fish the top or bottom of the dam?

I saw the date elrik of the ops topic , just wanted to make sure guys no the rules as it closes earlier than normal. We always see guys fishing the lower grand and assume it closes the 15 or 31st of march. Fishing the dam this year also saw my fair share of guys trying to keep the rainbows, and dont realize that part of the river is closed till opener.

anyone know if the ice has cleared b the lower river below dam yet?
