Hey Everyone,

Thought I'd share my homemade fish crisp recipe. I get asked all the time what I use to get it so crispy. I don't like the mess of flour/egg/milk dredge. This is so simple! No mess, cheap, and fast. I sometimes vary the recipe by adding fresh herbs, chili powder; whatever to your taste. For frying, I really prefer grapeseed oil -- it has a nice woodsy flavour as opposed to olive oil, which often leaves bitter aftertaste.

Make sure the pan is hot when first putting fillets in, then turn heat back a wee bit so as not to burn.

Quick video tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM3XqRjShxM

Four ingredients:

1 C corn meal
1/2 Tbsp sea salt
1/2 Tbsp curry powder
1/2 Tbsp ground cumin

For frying: grapeseed oil & butter

ENJOY!

Awesome. Now I have something to try when we’re out of rocky madsen fish crisp. I always have cornmeal around. Thanks.
