Hi Folks, Headed to one of my spring hotspots for panfish. It's like a spring tradition, with back bays now open and free of ice, I dusted off my ultralight rod, rigged up a bobber and an assortment of tiny tubes and twister tails and hit some panfish. I had a blast landing over 30 perch. Unfortunately no crappie or bluegills are in yet, but took a few of the larger perch home for a fish fry. Beautiful morning to be out, sun was shining and the fish were biting.. Best colours were chartreuse, white and pink. Water depth was 6-8 ft. Was great to get the softwater tackle out again.. Welcome spring..

Was admiring your open water as i was driving through for a family trip this weekend. Some great perch there, hope the crappie and gills come in to join you soon. This tease was showing off to me while we were at the museum yesterday. If only i could of figured how to get a rod in the aquarium!
