Got on the ice for 6.30. Later than thought. Good wind from NW. Opened some holes from last weekend with my boot. Drilled a few more. Vexilar did not take a charge so near dead. Nothing so far. on way out passed 8 or so holes fresh drilled today. Temp dropping fast. Ice covering on outside holes

Just landed first fish. 14 " or so ling. Was surfing the Web checking forecast with one hand - other hand jigging. Had to put down phone and put on glasses. Just lost one . . . For those wondering - about 18" ice. Access good with some small amount of water around pressure crack. Driving in - at property for sale I had asked about 2 weeks ago I was very surprised to see about 10 hens cross the road followed by 2 Jakes. Turkeys are everywhere! Getting another hit! Soft taps . . .

Count is at 2 ling on the ice so far! Both from within the flip! A few taps and couple losses on way up. It looks like a full moon! And wind has died down!!!

Just charging phone - I was getting action on ling inside hut for an since last post. Then stopped. Woke up a few times to try different holes - nothing but cold.
This morning nothing - have lost some minnows from soft hits . . .
Currently still below freezing and wind has picked up.
Photo of last night's ling. Lost bigger at the hole . . .

Still nothing today so far. Very windy. Probably just above freezing. Sun out at times making it try to be great day on the ice.
Previously Shagdrrotten6969 had mentioned the sea gulls on his last report. LOUD. Around dusk they thankfully disappear - returning with dawn.
Below is picture from yesterday's view of the two Jakes - behind the hens. Entering the property for sale . . .
No one else out on the ice. No huts, people, or machines.

Nothing all day. Drilled few holes, tried different hooks - nothing. now 24 hours on the ice - decided to stay one more night on the ice. Hoping to do better with the ling. Will post later tonight.
