Allan and I went back for a final crack at Rosseau. It was clearly the last week that we would trust the ice. Brilliant sun and plus 4---what a day!! Fished 65 ft. I tried the slip bobber again after seeing Dale use it so successfully. Lots of light bites for both of us. My bobber would move up and down slightly sometimes followed by a second or 2 underwater but not enough to set the hook. In the middle of one of those intermittent flurries of bites I landed quite a small one about 10 in. I suspect that a lot of the light bites were coming from similar sized fish. I can see the advantage of a bobber that allows you to see bites rather than feel them
For most of the day no fish were showing on Allan's FF but at one time we had a double header with us landing both fish. At the end of the day we had 4 fish. With the weather being so nice and having enough bites to keep things interesting it was a great day to be out.
