Crappies in the scugog river

Anyone ever fish crappies in the scugog river? Was up that way today, and saw a lot of it is open.

caught this guy in it last year by mistake going for bass.
tells me they're in there and can get big. not sure about thier spring locations though.

Nice! Did you catch it on a 5" wacky rigged senko? I didn't think a crappie would bite anythihg that big

That's a nice Crappie!I caught a few like that in Darymple while I was using a big spinerbait. Surprised me big time.

You'd be suprised, we keep getting crappies while trolling walleye baits in the grand, absolutely amazing, caught my personal best 12-12.5 inch white crappie doing just that.

it was actually a 7 " wacky. this guy was hungry. had lots more trying to take it too.

basically what we've established is that there is atleast ONE crappie in the scugog river and that my shirt is cool but buttoned up wrong lol
