I'm not too big on ice fishing or the cold and I prefer to fish for bass... I should have been born in florida lol. I was hoping we'd get another heatwave in march like we did in 2012... didn't happen Hopefully we have a warm summer this year rather than a cold one like last year.

I've been sick of the cold since September.
Same here bayliner but atleast there was some warm weather in the end of september and really early october. I went out on september 28th and I think it was like 23 or 24 above. The bass were in really shallow and I wanted to get out a few more times before the cold weather, didn't happen tho

Unfortunately I just saw on the Weather channel that the infamous El Nino will prevail this year and give us another cool summer. But who really knows!

If that happens i'm going to move down south lol, it's too far far away to possibly tell tho. They have a hard time predicting what's happening as it's happening lol. It'll say high of 24 and current temperature 29

It's too long of a wait, bass become much harder to find and catch after september, so there's basically 3 months of good temperatures/bass fishing. Then you've got to factor in work and thunderstorms and you're left with like 20 days at the most. I'm saving my vacation time for the summer, i'm going to do as much bass fishing as I possibly can before the bass go into hiding and winter approaches. Wish I could live in florida in the winter and here in the summer, only positive to the cold is that there's no mosquitoes. or deer flies and horse flies, I hate those things!

this reminds me of me. every year my first vacation starts the week bass season opens.
all of my vacations are placed around bass catching. as much as i hate waiting so long to catch bass and that there's basically only a few months to catch them i love that Canada puts a bass season in place to help protect the species. it bothers me watching those tournies on tv in Florida when they're ripping them off their beds.
