Try calling the Marinas around Sturgeon. Some might let you fish. Worked for me when I was in school in Lindsay. Not all said yes, but it's always worth a shot...

Is Kawartha Bait still open by the lock? Buddy there might know. You could always try the parks along the river. The one with the boat launch off Mary Street might not be too bad. I used to fish by the bridge on Lindsay St too. There is another park with a launch north (downsream) of the lock...

I do believe the regs say that the whole river in Lindsay is a Sanctuary. They need to print out maps with highlights of the specific areas that are sanctuaries. Much easier to understand but everything to do with the government has to be complicated...

Very true. Logs and Frogs should put out plan language regs online. Something simple that's lays the rules out in B&W. Too many people gets the regs books and can't make sense of them...
