ok so finally after voting on 10 lakes and then narrowing it down to the final 4 and then voting again we have have a winner, Weslemkoon Lake. good news for me as it's my favorite lake but bad news for me in the future as once a lake is picked it's out of the voting in the future for good. I am still unsure how big this tournament will be this year as it is a little far for some but I really do think it's the nicest lake of the lot and so it should be a fun time for those who make it out.

Hidden cove cottages is letting us host the event at their place, I will post directions to their location in this opening thread soon, as well as other add ons and confirmed entrants.

For anyone who missed all of the voting but would still like to join the tournament, you are still welcomed to do so up until the time of the tourney, Just please try to let me know sooner rather than later so that I can get a feel for numbers. just post that you're in so I can put your name down on this opening post.

also keep in mind that there is a one pro max per boat rule in effect so that we can level the playing fields a little and give everyone more of a chance to win. I am by not a pro but will either be fishing it with my brother who has only fished for bass once in over 10 years or my stepdad who is let's just say still learning the game lol. should be a good time for all who come out as this lake is loaded with bass.

I will post the names of the people who said they were good to go on this date, if there are others coming but I have not put your name down it just means I wasn't sure so please tell me or just post that you're in. if you are a maybe please let me know as well, again to judge numbers.

So far I only have these teams down listed as confirmed as I'm not 100% if other peoples votes were stricken to their certain lake that they voted it on I know there are some members teaming up with other members and I just want to make sure both members are good to go. I do hope that all can make it though even if it's not their lake as one it's a good way to fish a different lake and two you at least have the luxury on knowing that next year it will be on a different lake.

I jumped the gun by an hour assuming that a whole bunch of votes don't start rolling in i think it's a safe bet as Weslemkoon is pretty far ahead even given that 2 members could not make it for the 4th. it is still ahead.

Okay see you there on July 4th. As of right now I am taking my brother "Thanh" . I am no pro neither is he. But I am not too clear on your term of a "pro" This is our first tourney of any sort.

FYI- our live well can only fit 5 x 7lb bass at most. We will have to toss the bigger ones back

lmao sorry to hear that. thats why I have a 48" livewell

as for a "pro" a pro is exactly how it sounds, someone who fishes the pro circuits and earns money off of fishing. they usually have a boat that says 250 at the back.

don't get me wrong i'm no newbie, i'm just no pro. and my boat does say 250hp..... minus the 2.
