By the looks of the responses it looks like you are doing a great job with this tourney, after this week is over it will be time to set another up for the fall

@beers people have been asking me for quite some time about a weekday tourney because they work weekends or what not so to be fair to them i'm going to set one up. also I figure a twighlight is a bit of a change and will maybe allow people who work weekdays a chance to make it too. and yes i'm excited!!!
i'm still trying to strategize my game plan actually lol.

@rayray. I will let you know all about it for sureit will be on rice but possibly scugog

@fishfordinner Yes it's a newby friendly tourney but there are some 's in it so bring that A game lol. also I upped the anti on the big fish prize compared to most tournies as everyone has a chance to catch a big fish and so atleast everyone has a chance at winning lol.
also don't worry I don't plan on "letting" you win. if I lost to a Koon newbie I don't know what I'd do with myself lol love in just 2 short visits me and the koon fell in love .
also yes the competition aspect makes it so much more fun and with the low entry fee it's still fun even if you just donate to the winner lol.

@mike D i'll see you in the slop lol. maybe on more then one tournament or so it sounds lol.

@ dreamer a fall tourney is a must this year. I had a baby last fall and so couldn't set one up but this year... it's on.

good news. the fish are biting.
in the 3 hours we fished today we caught about 30 bass.
including my brother with his PB lm a 3. 38 pounder on a top water.

Those are some nice fish for yesterdays conditiions for sure, especially in just 3 hours.

dont think that matters. i lost this one this morning than came back three hours later he bit again i lost him again than casted it back and got all three of my worms back lol.

wouldn't have known it was the same fish if not for the worms lol.

I am kinda happy now that we pick the week in July instead of this weekend. This rain kinda sucked! Let's hope all sunshine for next week. I am bringing my favourite colour stick bait and hope the big ones live it! I don't need the 30 x 2 pounders. I will be happy to only catch 5 x 5 pounders!

i agree with all of this. although who knows what the weather will bring next week.

i still can't catch a monster. my biggest so far is 2.76 i guess they're waiting for the tourney?

^ i change my mind. this rain is wearing on me. next Saturday is a WAY better date guaranteed.
it rained ALL day. i fished in it of course but wow.
my reels and tackle will be rusted my tourney day lol no monsters to report but fishing is steady.
like every other lake I've been to the weeds are late.

update.
the weather has been horrible. was sunny for a but yesterday but now raining again. the numbers of fish are not as steady and its been really hard to find the big girls.
my newbie brother is still out fishing me in size. he refuses to take his top water off when its raining as he did so well with it Saturday and so he caught this at 12:45 in the afternoon today.

5.30lbs or 5lbs 5 ounces.
his new pb by a long shot. says he's getting a mount of its measurements. i said catch it again Saturday and I'll chip in money for it lol.

i think the warm weather that's coming will get them going good for this weekend.

can't wait until Saturday.

Wow!! Nice largie! Wish I could join you all on weslemkoon always wanted to try that lake. I'm not a very good bass fisherman!
