update.
the weather has been horrible. was sunny for a but yesterday but now raining again. the numbers of fish are not as steady and its been really hard to find the big girls.
my newbie brother is still out fishing me in size. he refuses to take his top water off when its raining as he did so well with it Saturday and so he caught this at 12:45 in the afternoon today.

5.30lbs or 5lbs 5 ounces.
his new pb by a long shot. says he's getting a mount of its measurements. i said catch it again Saturday and I'll chip in money for it lol.

i think the warm weather that's coming will get them going good for this weekend.

can't wait until Saturday.

Nice catch! Hope you guys get good weather for the tourney.

Wasn't there something in the rules about no pre-fishing the week before the tourney

Just kidding, that is a real nice bass your brother caught. Maybe you should try switching shirts with him, the luc may have transferred from yours to his!

beers im aiming for 5 7 pounders.
I'll only take 4 and u can catch the last one.

my lucky shirt has yet to be worn here this trip.
like tiger woods I'm saving the red shirt for the big day lol

ok so just wanted to give an update on the launch as i said i would.

now the event is being held out of hidden cove but there is not alot of parking for cars unfortunately as there are alot of guests stay in this weekend with boats.
the early birds will get the worm on this one.

now there is a free launch literally just down the rd with lots of parking and so i went down to it to check it out.
it is a tricky launch for sure as u have to to a three point turn but the water is deep which will make the launch easy once the trailer is submerged.
i took pics of it so that u guys can judge your self as to whether or not u want to try it out.
another option if u don't is to launch at hidden cove and one person drives the boat to park at free launch and the other runs boat over to pick that person up.

if alot of people are up for that i might even run a shuddle lol.
its only a two minute boat ride at best.

either way i will be up and setting up the table and registration forms at like 530-6 so even if you guys were to come early you can take a look and figure it out for your selves.

here's a pic of the free launch so that u can judge for your self if you think you can manage the turn.

if you do choose the free launch here is the rd you are looking to turn at. it is one minute before hidden cove.
keep in mind that your GPS for some reason will say you're at hidden cove but meanwhile u still have likea km more to go.

How did he break the net and rods? The only rod I ever broke was a cheap southbend ice fishing rod.
