About a week and a half ago, I decided to hit Rice Lake for some walleye and possibly late crappies…. Managed to catch and release a nice 26” walleye and lost another one near the boat. Went out for a few hours to kill some time and enjoy the fresh air!
The drive home appeared to be very normal…. When I got home, I noticed the head of a nail piercing through the right side rear tire of my truck! My neighbour offered to take the nail out and patch up my tire…. No problem I said! When the repair was completed, he called me over to his house to show me the nail in my truck tire…………. It was 3” long and still shiny! He says I didn’t “accidentally” roll over this nail….. someone had to have planted the nail against my tire and when I drove off, to punctured my tire deeply!
I was parked alongside a corn field on Wood Duck Drive right across the street from a residential house. I have no proof who planted the long nail against my tire and there is nothing I can do….. but whoever the axxhxxx is, Karma will find you and I hope you suffer ten-folds negativity!
I normally do not wish this on anybody, however; you put my life and my friends life at risk while travelling on the highway at high speed and towing my boat! A tire blow-out could have occurred and I could have lost control causing an accident and possible injuries to my friend, myself and others using the highway!
You could have just left a note on my windshield telling me not to park on the street or across from your residence but doing something so dangerous is simply irresponsible.
I believe in Karma……. You will get yours! I just wish I could see what sort of Karma comes back at you!
You know who you are and if you are reading this post, YOU are truly evil!

I worked at a GM dealer in Cambridge decades ago. You would be surprised what a tire tread can pick up, twist, turn and penetrate a tire. Small nails, big nails, large screws, small screws etc. Sucks getting a flat tire, that's for sure. Had one last March, three days after picking up my new car. You might call the police and see if anyone reported getting a flat tire in that area this year. It may be exactly what you think, being done purposely. It may also be just bad luck. Either way, if you go there again, have a quick look before driving away.

I had a run-in like that years ago at Southview Estates on Sturgeon Lake. One of the waterfront property owners didn't like us hunting for diving ducks off Sawdust Island with a layout boat. He went and placed 2" drywall screws under all of our truck and boat trailer tires, causing four flats. He also covered the whole launch area in screws. We called a CO and were disappointed when the guy only got a warning. Something called "Burnt River Circumstantial Incidental Punishment" then kicked in and it's probably best to not comment on this. One of my hunting buddies is a direct descendant of Michael Collins, the former leader of the IRA. He always says "it's not my fault", and he blames his actions on his genetics. Grasshopper I hope you find out who nailed you, the karma can be what is called "directed", or "guided karma".

Ezekiel 25:17?
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

It’s true that I could have picked up the nail while driving but based on the area, the environment and surroundings, it does appear suspicious! I’m done with going to this particular area…. Sad how I can’t enjoy a little bit of fishing in my retirement years!

The world is round and it is sooooo true when people say “what goes around, comes around”….. I am sorry to hear you also encountered such a negative experience with the locals! People are definitely not the same as years gone by! So sad to see!

I would go back to this spot often and set a motion camera on my vehicle.......then call the police with hard evidence

I had a similar experience at that launch in the summer. Someone scratched no parking on my hood.
FML. I hate people who think they own a launch.
That is just not right. Whomever is doing that needs to be arrested and prosecuted. Need someone that owns a Tesla to park there and record it all and then turn the footage over to the authorities.

that sucks. i've plugged a lot of tires in my life and very rarely will a low profile tire pick up a long straight nail. It happens, but rare, and even rarer for it to be not corroded from being outside (unless you're driving through construction zones).
All these incidents should be reported, if enough complaints are logged the police will get involved.
