Did some rainbow fishing today with my fishing partner Werner in the Great Lakes area what a beautiful day when the sun was shining. The fish that were landed all came on lures. Water was 33 degrees but the fish still gave a decent pull. Our hookup percentage was a bit off today with a bunch of lost fish after a 10 second battle. Its only the beginning of a much needed spring.

Such a photo hog
Way to go my friend , you were on them today, while I suffered a number of hits on different presentations including a straightened out hook, a brand new kwickfish in the water for 100 yard..bam! and gone
Would have liked to see that one that was on for a little while, but hey, it was great to get out with you again and net your fish...lol

Nice catches!
Every year I'm always winter steelheading but this year I decided to dedicate more time to ice fishing. I can't wait to get back out soon and slam the cr@p out of those chromers

Ahhh cant wait for spring, glad you guys got into a few, interesting rig Steve, looks good enough to eat, bet you’ve daydreamed about that kwikfish shank, thats what keeps us all coming back, the one that got away always sticks in the mind more than the ones that hit the net it seems, thanks for the pics
