Hey guys. For anyone that has gone have the schools of minnows also moved in. I know one day there is nothing and the next they are in by the millions.

Thanks for any info

Canoe and motor... Better spots and opportunities then from shore there's a launch you use for free right on canal road. Check around the brides if you have a finder bring it.

Hope you can get something there. If not, go to the bottom of the Cook's Bay, 4:30 direction. people caught some crappie there today. Good luck!

THE crappies are there in the river but not where we expect them to be.They are higher up in the river. As for the minnows they have not been seen in any part of the river.saw people catching some crappies that look very thin and from there colour they may have been living in the river all winter. The big slabs should be there in couple of days.

So if someone was to go out tomorrow what would you recommend as a set up?
minnows, jigs, colours, how far below the float? Care to share?

Day to day it changes but for crappies you want to be above them not below. So I'd say set your float at 2' and work your way down, sometimes their right under the surface

Thanks for the info that much I knew. Was wondering if anybody was out today and had something working would be a good jumping off point for tomorrow.
