great pike opener on simcoe

pike fishing on simcoe was great today. went out for a hour then wind picked up and started to poor rain. we ended up catching 1 30+ inch pike. and we were fishing the rock wall outside of crates on cooks. it hit a raplala hj14 in clown colour. we had 2 follows and overall it was a ok day. better than being at home

that might have been more fun than my opener. opening rugby season that is
we blew them out would have rathered a struggle with pike lol

We where is that general area all morning. My buddy got a nice one close to 40 inches.I managed to get one half that size. Had a few follows , and a couple of hits,just a great day.It felt like the middle of July out there.We got out there about 630 this morning and it was perfect conditions.
