Got up to marten river yesterday morning and very surprised that the black flies where not to bad yet.
Today flies where more noticeable but out on the water and with the wind not a problem yet. They are not feeding yet it seems or a least they are not biting YET....tomorrow is going to be nice with less wind so I'm sure the black flies will be out.. Yesterday i was able to fish the river and caught 5 fish. 3 walleyes,the biggest was 23-½ ...1 small pike and one monster bass.
Today was not as windy as yesterday but much cooler. Today we landed 5 walleye ,4 pike and 2 bass,also 1 nice size perch and this was on the lake that where staying on.
Most of the fish where caught in a area that's never produced fish before . Our reason we went to this area was to take shelter from the wind.
We tied up on some fallen trees right tight to shore. 4 feet of water the back of the boat and my brother in law nailed to walleye right off the back of the boat in 4-½ feet of water.
I only took pictures of yesterday's fish.
