Great report. Marten River is my home waters, the point you showed I fished 2 weeks ago and couldnt count the number of fish jumping around me

Did you try your luck for lake trout on 'Big Marten'?

Never got down the river that far but had good luck on the river this year.

Thats a nice picture... If he were to paint something like that i sure would be interested. If he does, let me know.

Also, marten river is a pretty popular area as it is. Posting pictures and naming the lake isnt a big deal here, especially with lake temegami being a stone throw away. Most people who come up that way are going to fish the big T over marten river. I will admit though, marten has some half decent fish. Camped at the provincial one year. We did great for all species out of the boat. And managed a number of pike and bass from shore. Great fishing up that way, no matter what lake youre on.

I never fished up that way, but someday I hope to explore the area.
