Hey LNZboy and Beers, do you mind me asking if you caught fish all day? I've been told Walleye are best before dark and early morning but on Balsam I've caught them off weed beds in front of the Park around 12:00-14:00 before. Great looking fish both of you! Looks like you both had a great time.

I caught mine at around 4, the sun was not as bright most of the time with heavy cloud cover, plus with the heavier winds and a depth of about 15 feet, it was a perfect storm for daytime walleye. I went yesterday and all the fish we caught were out of one spot, right as the sun was setting: it was much calmer with less clouds.

Hope this helps.

nice fish guys.

LMZ, the slot on balsam and mitchell is different from the rest of the kawarthas. walleye have to be outside the slot to keep them. not within it.
