Good Morning, I am new to the Blind River area and looking for a place to fish from shore or in a canoe/inflatable raft. Also Since I just moved here someone to fish with and to show me some spots would be fantastic.

It is a beautiful spot to fish. I caught a 2 foot burbot from shore yesterday. Going to the kwik way today, Thanks for the name drop. I'm a new manager at the Lakeview Inn so if anyone is in the area and wants to go fishing stop in and ask for Dave.

Nice atch! Judging by the belly colour i would say you have a dogfish there, not a burbot. Will agree with others that i am jealous of where you live! Hope you have a great season and enjoy the new job.

Yeah that's a bowfin aka dogfish and not a ling aka burbot . Ling also have whiskers . Congrats on the bowfin . Pretty good fighters and in his spawning colours .
