Just got off the lake myself! Drifted a chartreuse worm harness. Lots of crappies, bluegills, and one under slot walleye that I tossed back. It amazes me how quick those little buggers can strip a worm. I don't know much about plastics but I would be interested in an alternative setup to save me.
People who jig Rice...what type of plastics are they using?

Just got off lake. At dusk went to my other location and did my normal - nothing.
Yes used kicker for the trolling. Is good, some getting used to for steering.
Cool and very windy night. Water is much warmer at 74 F than the air.
Fun night getting confidence with handling of the boat with the winds and waves.
Walleye came in just over 14" so within slot! Perhaps breakfast?
Dark horse the other problem I find with the real worms is that the dirt falls onto floor of clean boat. And I like wearing barefoot or socks while in boat.
Once I've got the technique down with live worms I will switch to trigger-x walleye worms - I've got lots.
BTW easy to post on Rice Lake as LTE service for Bell Mobiliy.

Rinse the worm off in the water before applying ,keeps the boat clean...we also have a towel under the worm container to catch the dirt... Cheers fishmagnet

Good suggestions - I'll give both of them a try next time out. I'll post my feedback.
