Met Shagdrrotten6969 at Bewdley tonight. Drove together to Harris Boat works to launch.
We decided to try area both hadn't fished - so went east of Tic Island to troll.
I started with husky Jerks. However after Dale caught his first walleye on worm harness I switched over. Results two decent walleye and 1 blue gill for Dale and numerous small hits. I just got a few hits . . .
When dusk, we returned close to Harris to fish my regular spots. First location - nothing. Second location - while Shagdrrotten6969 was messing around with a birds nest I land a small rock bass. A few minutes later I latched into what I thought at first was weeds. Soon became a fish - then started stripping line at fast rate. Line eventually breaks 6lb mono - lost a huge musky. Nothing else for both of us so head in.
Overall - eye opener for me to see worm harness in action and catching! I've a lot of practising to do to catch up to Dale's skill at this technique!!! And he uses real worms!!!! Note - I did get hits on trigger-x worm in harness - next time may use stinger.
This was Dale's second fishing trip today - and tomorrow is out on lake O for the salmon derby. Quite the passion for fishing!

Nice job to the both of you. Always a gamble to try new spots... Pay out usually not always a win but when you do hit it... It is well worth the try. Every old lake I hit I try to fish a new spot or two. Always looking to add to the GPS.
