Went out for few hours with my bro in my still leaky tinny. Tried for musky for quite awhile and nothing. My brother hooked up with a 3lb largie which was a great fight trying to dig him into weeds.

My bro was kicking my butt so I decided to throw on a small jointed floating rapala on my ultra light and wamooo. A beauty lgmt that dug me under the boat hard. 17 1/2 inches and I would estimate 41/2 lbs.

I bought bolt cutters and threw them into tackle box for my first musky encounter(which has not happened yet) and sure enough I used them to cut my treble as it was so hard into his jaw I couldent get it out. Best 13 buckes spent.

Actually, best 50 bucks spent was on a frabill net to land this beast boat side. I never used a net before and wow what a difference it makes Landing these puppies!

Heading out musky hunting tomorrow as it is still my goal to get 1 musky this year!

Terrific report. Good reminder on the bolt cutters - I've got to get pair set up in boat for similar . . .

I'm usually out fishing my brother . . .

Thanks
