Fished Scugog for the first time this year yesterday. Started off fishing a shallow bay full of lily pads. caught a couple, 1 weighing 3lbs. Tried some docks with no luck. Finished by fishing some shallow shoreline cover, undercuts and such. Caught another 3 pounds and one pushing 4lbs. Not to bad for 3 hours fishing. I think we caught 8 fish total. Two 3 pounds / 1 pushing 4lbs and a couple around 2.5lbs other 3 where smaller around 1.5lbs. Fished from 9-12:30.

The biggest one was on a black/blue 1/2oz flipping jig with a green pumpkin 3 inch chigger craw trailer. Others where caught using 6 inch senkos and 5 inch soft swimbaits. The bite wasnt great but the ones we caught where decent size overall. We have done very well on scugog in past years, but have not fished it much the last few years.

Looks very productive for that lake, nice boat what is it?
Its a 18 foot Lowe with a 75 four stroke merc. Jon Boat style Lowe. Huge front deck on this boat. My Dad and I fish side by side in the front with no complaints.

Nice job! Not bad for a few hours! I find scogoug to be hit or miss some days but looks like you figured it out fast! I'm hoping to get out to scogog very soon and see if I can catch something bigger than 1lb.
