9:30 is a little late, no ??
2 weeks from now by 9 it will be dark. If I where you, I wouldn't want the liability of having guys run to weigh in in the dark at 9:30.
2 or 3 in the afternoon to 8pm would be great. That's my opinion.
I fish most nights at dark. Trailer boat in dark (with lights.) Often many boats out in the dark - no difference at dusk - except perhaps people are more careful?
Shouldn't be any difference in liability - and who is liable? Organizer is not taking on any liability that I am aware? And what is difference from morning start - in the dark as many tournaments do?
I like the idea of 4.30 pm (or later start) as some of us are working - can not take the time off work. Later start is also cooler from the direct sun. And sometimes can have a good bass bite at dusk!
If 9.30 is too late - I'm sure you could come in earlier to dock and wait for others . . .
Putaforkinya is planning this one as different to accommodate! IMO - times work - just got to have good dates . . .

I do agree with scro on the 9:30pm... Not the liability part but the part it being late. By the time last boat in at 9:30... We start the weighting the fish... Put boat on trailer one by one... And haul home. It would be 2am by the time I get home. I'll miss out on dinner for sure! Lol
I guess this might be a date or time issue.
For me the date looks good. The time...... Going to be honest... It will ruin my next day for sure. I can't keep doing this at work after every fishing trip!

I would have never thought about a liability issue myself. But, last night we ran a small 18 boat tourney from Bridgnorth causway. Cops showed up at 9 for the weigh in wanting to know who was in charge of running the event. Someone on shore complained about something and the cop gave us a warning !! I cant imagine what the cops would do if there was an accident. After seeing what happened last night i would think the person in charge of putting it together would be in some kind of hot water.
This was all because a homeowner alleged someone ran the slow zone and called the cops.
I think what Matt is doing is great. I'm just offering some info from experience.

Well Matt, looks like you might have a tough time trying to accommodate everyone. I should be able to make it, although Thursdays and Fridays aren't the best for me.

no worries guys the time is.not in stone by any means. thats why i just put in the "likely". 9 is definitely more reasonable then 930 for sure plus by the time we weigh in it would be pitch black so ya 9 is better for sure. but i don't really want to go much earlier as for one the guys that work need time to get there and two because every twilight I've ever been in has seemingly ended the mintue the night bite turned on amd i was left there saying what if i obly had half an hour more.
any way looks like we need some more boats though any way. anyone else in?
