Nice job Frank, looks like you are getting the hang of the worm harness technique. Have you tried it with the trigger x worms yet to see how they stack up against the real thing? Maybe next time you have others in the boat with you you could do a comparison of real vs trigger x and see how it compares?
Last trip out yesterday - Sunday with wife and 5 year old. Two lines out both with real worms. Tried different harnesses with different set up.
One harness got 90 plus percent of the action. Other 1 hit only. Resulting in 1 blue gill and only a few worms fed to the fish. I think that winds were too high and pushed boat too fast so bait / harness were too high. I could've added more weights . . .
End of day fours on the water on an extremely hot day and we survived. We had various things for the youngster to do including eating lunch. Last hour we went east on lake to check out area near the old provincial park Serpent mounds. Then did slow drive back against he waves and wind. Five year loved sitting in the bow!
As for testing against the trigger-x - plan to do so soon - once I've gotten a baseline with the worms. And then I need a second fishing person in boat . . .
For those of you who haven't been out on Rice on a sunny day with high winds - to me it was bizarre - all these bass boats flying by in all directions. And I mean flying - airborne at times . . .
And the bass boats didn't look all the same but close to the same - so could have been the same 3 buzzing the area (not) . . .
